A Duramax/Allison motor upgrade allows for smog-free driving. This short-bed Silverado is equipped with four-wheel drive, NP205 transfer case, Kingpin DANA 60 in the front and a corporate 14-bolt full floater in the rear. This has had a full frame-off restoration. The rain gutters and tailgate were shaved. The frame, leaf springs, axles, steering, drive lines, trac bars and all suspension components were disassembled to be sandblasted and powder-coated. The axles were reassembled with new

bearings, seals and brakes, along with new 4:10 gears. The leaf springs were put back together with new bushings and hardware. The drive lines were custom-made and powder-coated as well and put back together with new U-joints. The axles were set underneath the leafs with new powder-coated U-bolts. It has new cab rubber bushings on top of a 2' body lift to clear the intercooler and massive Allison automatic transmission. All windows were tinted and the doors were hung back on the body with new seals and weatherstripping. The interior features new door panels, dashboard, carpet and insulation, and billet inserts were added on the doors, dashboard and fan cover. The original steering wheel was replaced with a 2003 Chevy Silverado steering wheel to keep the instrument panel controls working properly and the newer gauges were molded into the older dash bezel. A new Vintage Air unit was also installed. A Kenwood head unit was added for sound with Pioneer mids and highs boosted by Interfire amps. It also has three carbon-fiber 10' Memphis subs in a sealed box. It has new billet grille and bumpers. The bed was lined inside with a rubber coating and it has a new custom hitch. Allison 1000 Transmission was built with stronger internals. The 6.6-liter engine is Duramax stock.
