Details

Titled as a 1962, this car was built from a highly modified 2004 chassis by CRCoachworks in Lakewood, WA. This car was donated to the Carrington Charitable Foundation by its second owner to raise money for support of catastrophically wounded veterans. This hand-built car was #13 in a series now extending over 200, each taking over 900 man-hours to assemble. The car is primarily constructed with SPRINT CBS, a unique composite manufactured by Gurit with each exterior panel manufactured out of

carbon-fiber. The panels as well as the overall condition of the car are absolutely outstanding, with about 2,000 miles on the motor and approximately 10,400 on the chassis. The car benefits from all of the modern conveniences of a 2004 including ABS, traction control, power steering, air conditioning and power windows all mated to the styling of the 1962 body. A Lingenfelter 403ci motor generating 510hp and 500 ft/lbs of torque hides beneath the stock LS2 valve covers. A forged Callies crankshaft, Manley H-beam rods and JE forged pistons are all balanced and assembled at the high end of Lingenfelter specifications. The high-lift Lingenfelter cam spec lets the engine idle a bit rougher than stock, but the car pulls like a freight train all the way to redline. The engine is mated to the 6-speed Tremec T-56 manual transmission with 5th and 6th gears as overdrive ratios. The custom leather interior by CRC color keys the black with red trim throughout. A heads-up display and upgraded stereo system complete the modern package. With the reliability of the 2004 chassis and systems, the Lingenfelter engine and the 1962 body style, this car is the ultimate Corvette for either driving or show. CRC builds the finest of the retro Corvettes; this excellent example may be the ultimate expression of their work. **TITLED AS A 1962 RECONSTRUCTION** **100% OF HAMMER PRICE TO BENEFIT CARRINGTON CHARITABLE FOUNDATION** **WILL BE SOLD AT APPROXIMATELY 1:30 P.M. ON FRIDAY, OCTOBER 14, 2016**
