This is an exceptionally rare town car limousine with custom coachwork by Brewster Company of New York. With an open chauffeur's compartment, it's equipped with sliding division window, dual side-mounted spare tires and rear-mounted trunk. It features a 248ci engine with a 3-speed manual transmission. The Special was purchased from Buick in chassis form and sent to Brewster Company to complete a body built to order. Brewster and Company of Long Island City, NY, was one of the largest and
best-known coachbuilders in America. It was also one of Brewster's last cars, completed just before the company was liquidated. From the Tammy Allen Collection.
