1970 CHEVROLET CHEVELLE SS CUSTOM COUPE

Details

Upgraded with a 454/365hp V8 and Muncie M-21 4-speed transmission. Factory air conditioning, power steering and power front disc brakes. Ruby Red metallic tri-coat exterior with GM black SS stripes. All new black interior and a 2-1/2' Flowmaster dual exhaust system with chrome original oval tips. Original documentation includes two Build Sheets. documented as a Malibu 350 V8 series, but has been fully upgraded to Chevelle SS specifications. The floor, trunk pans and body are all rust-free. All fuel and brake lines were removed, cleaned and polished. New shocks, brakes, chrome power booster and master cylinder. Brake drums have been machined to specs. New ball joints, control arm bushings, front sway bar and added rear F-41 suspension sway bar. Undercarriage and frame were cleaned and undercoated. New custom 15x8 Cragar SS steel wheels and new BFGoodrich radial P-245/60R15 tires. Cowl induction hood with working flapper. Newly re-built 454ci engine with less than 100 miles, that is date correct and bored out .030 over. High performance cam shaft, double roller timing chain and gears, Hedman Headers, Edelbrock aluminum high rise intake manifold and a 750 Holley dual feed electric choke carburetor. Chrome valve covers, 8mm wire separators, chrome fuel pump, alternator and chrome brackets. Chrome oil pan and chrome pullies. 4-row radiator and a six blade flex fan. Chrome 12-bolt differential cover. All interior is new. All metal parts were painted. Sound deadener was installed on top of headliner and below carpet for noise control. Dash pad and dash were upgraded to a stereo pad and round housing instrument cluster dash assembly. Bucket seats, with headrests, replaced the original bench seat. Original SS steering wheel. Dual chrome side view mirrors. Car is equipped with an AM/FM Kenwood radio with CD player and Bluetooth compatibility. Includes remote. Dual front speakers, dual 6x9 rear speakers with original grilles and speaker covers on new package tray. The trunk was cleaned thoroughly and painted with original spatter paint. All weather stripping, moldings, and badging, are all new. Both front windshield and back rear window are new. The two Build Sheets document this car as a Malibu series V8, but as you can see, it has been fully restored to all SS specifications. Every receipt for all parts purchased to restore this vehicle, were kept and are part of the documentation.
