For the 1963 model year, Chrysler developed the 426/415hp Max Wedge Super Stock. These cars were factory-built race cars that were sold to compete in factory Super Stock drag racing competition. Although sold to the public, the cars were not come with a factory warranty. Delivered to Goodwin Brothers, Inc., on October 16, 1962, in Dayton, OH. Factory-optioned with 426/415hp 11.1 compression engine, cross ram dual 4-barrel manifold, two carter 600 cfm carburetors, upswing cast-iron exhaust

manifolds with 3' head pipes and factory exhaust cutouts, very rare and desirable T85 3-speed manual transmission with Hurst shifter, 3.91 Sure-Grip limited-slip rear end and hood brace delete. This car retains all of its original body panels, has never had any rust repairs and there is no evidence of any major body damage. All glass is original. The interior is completely original with the exception of the carpet which was replaced. Originally a Sandalwood-colored car, it has had one repaint in red lacquer approximately 35 years ago and is showing some patina but still shines like new. It is truly a time-capsule example of the factory-built race cars in the draw of muscle cars. The car is documented with the Galen Govier-decoded report and the Chrysler IBM build record card.
