This Resto-Mod is dressed in a coat of stunning silver PPG metallic paint over equally striking two-tone red and black interior. Car is currently owned by Jim Perkins and is being sold from his personal collection. He is the retired General Manager of Chevrolet Motor Division, V.P. of General Motors and is currently associated with Hendrick Motorsports. Rotisserie restored by the famous custom Corvette builder and GM Performance dealer, Karl Chevrolet of Ankeny, IA. This Bel Air Resto-Mod has

retained almost all of its stock appearance inside and out to stay true to the great style and heritage of one of Chevrolet's greatest cars. The foundation began with a state-of-the-art Art Morrison chassis, featuring a modern suspension design, using adjustable 4-wheel coilover springs and shocks, large 4-wheel disc brakes and power rack & pinion steering. Bringing this car to life is a new limited production (number 263 of 430) ZZ430 GM Performance crate motor producing 430hp. That power is transmitted through a GM 700R 4-speed automatic transmission and a 9' Ford rear with Strange 3.73 axles. Other notable upgrades include a Vintage Air heat and air conditioning system, Flaming River tilt steering column and custom steering wheel, Classic Instrument gauges, Hushmat sound deadener, one-piece California bumper, Budnik polished billet wheels, polished ceramic coated exhaust system, American Auto Wire harness and a Raingear windshield wiper system. An entirely new interior was installed during restoration including all new rubber parts and all new tinted glass, plus the front seat was moved back 2' further for comfort. The true level of detail and expense of this restoration cannot be fully explained in such a short paragraph, it is truly as nice underneath as it is on top and with only 791 miles since restoration, it is barely broken in and ready for summer cruising. Included with this car is a letter from Karl Performance documenting pre-restoration condition.
