Refreshingly based on a 2 door 1957 Chevrolet 150 Handyman station wagon, this incredible custom creation combines past and present into one stunning package with rarely seen levels of fit and finish clearly apparent at first glance. Stunning and show quality throughout, it benefits from a complete frame-off restoration with modifications and upgrades made to enhance driving enjoyment while retaining the distinctive original bodylines. block sanded and finished in deep Ferrari Russo (red) paint. The interior, beautifully trimmed in genuine Ferrari leather and rich Mercedes-Benz carpeting, features full Dynamat sound deadening underneath. All new glass and rubber was installed as well. Power is provided by a stroked Corvette engine displacing 383 cubic inches and fitted with a polished TPI fuel injection unit and a custom throttle body. A GM 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission, high-stall torque converter and Chevrolet 3.70:1 posi-traction rear end transmit power to pavement. The entire frame was disassembled, blasted and powder coated and then fitted with an all new factory suspension system with 2' dropped front and rear springs providing a wicked stance. Front and rear sway bars and a CPP power steering box, while sure stops are provided by power disc brakes. In keeping with the rest of the vehicle, the underside is show quality in presentation and the entire car features a veritable multitude of chrome and polished brightwork. In addition power operated split front bench seat complete with armrest and custom fold down rear seat, the Chevy is equipped with Vintage Air and heat wired into the factory dash controls, plus power windows and vent windows, AM/FM/CD thumping over 1,500 watts and riding on a set of custom fitted Boyd Coddington wheels.
