Beautiful 1968 AMC AMX equipped with the Go Package. This AMX is painted in its original Matador Red, Code '39A', with vinyl racing stripes. All of the chrome, glass and trim remain in excellent condition. Rally wheels with Polyglas red lines are mounted on all 4 corners completing the exterior. Look and you will realize how the AMX was way ahead of its time. The black interior, Code '831A', is also in excellent condition. The vented designed seats, console with automatic transmission and

factory tachometer are just a few of the items this interior came equipped with. Others are power steering, power disc brakes, tilt wheel, tinted glass, AM radio and electric wipers were the rest. Come up and view this interior and you will not be disappointed. The Go Package included the 343cid engine. The matching numbers original 343 is included with the sale of this car, but this AMX has been upgraded to a 1971 version of the 401cid AMC engine. This engine has been bored .030 over, line bored, Sterling pistons .030 over with seal power rings, Melling oil pump, Comp cam with Johnson lifters, milled cylinder heads with bronze guides and hardened seats, Victor aluminum intake and 4-barrel carburetor. The shifting duties are taken care of by the Borg Warner Gear M11 automatic transmission, while the horsepower is put to the ground through the twin grip differential. To say this 401 runs is an understatement. Documentation of the history and of the restoration is included in the sale. This is a great 2-seater muscle car that will provide years of endless fun.
