1966 PONTIAC GTO 2 DOOR HARDTOP

This rust-free, laser-straight GTO is painted the original Cameo Ivory with a black Cordova vinyl top, Craiger chrome rims and the original black Interior. The interior has a center console, Strato bucket seats, new carpet and an original-looking, aftermarket AM/FM/Cassette 200-watt sound System with a 10-CD changer in the trunk, the original AM push-button radio is included. Paint, top and interior are 9.5 out of 10. It has the original numbers matching 335bhp, 431 ft/lbs torque, 389cid V8 engine with the correct Carter AFB 4V carburetor and air cleaner, automatic transmission, power steering and power brakes. One of the rarest GTO's ever built is the 1966 California-only Air Injection Reactor (AIR) exhaust control system or Option 612 on the Dealer's Order Sheet. Starting in 1966, the State of California required vehicles to be equipped with an air pump to cut down on exhaust emissions. You almost never see the AIR System anymore, even on completely restored California GTO's. Why? Just because California made Pontiac sell them that way didn't mean owners had to keep them that way. So, the vast majority of these systems ended up in the trash. This one has it as installed by the factory. This is one beautiful collector quality GTO. You won't be disappointed.
