This 2005 Chevrolet SSR is well-known for being the official pace car for the 2003 Indianapolis 500. It is finished in Smokin' Asphalt Black over Ebony leather. Powered by a Pro-Built Whipple-supercharged 6.0-liter LS2 V8 engine paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission with a limited-slip differential. Staggered-diameter 19-inch and 20-inch chrome-plated aluminum wheels are mounted with new radial 255/45 front tires and 295/40 rear tires. Stopping power is provided by 4-wheel anti-lock disc
brakes. This pickup is fitted with a power-operated retractable hardtop and a removable hard-shell cargo cover. Under the color-matched tonneau cover, the bed of this SSR has black carpet with wood floor strips and locking storage containers. The interior features an auxiliary gauge package at the front of the center console, full leather power-adjustable heated bucket seats with SSR-embroidered backrests, an in-dash 6-disc CD changer and a Bose premium sound system. Additional equipment includes front fog lights, a tinted rear window, AM/FM stereo, air conditioning, cruise control, power windows, mirrors and keyless entry.
