Details

A total transformation of a 1973 Westfalia to a 100-percent nut-and-bolt custom modified lowered bay window. This project had thousands of man-hours going into this custom build. The bus is painted in Sunset Orange and Dove Gray. Powered by a fresh 1,700cc engine with less than two hours on it with dual Weber carbs and a rebuilt automatic transmission. There is a 4-inch lowered beam with 2-inch drop spindles and a new steering box, and new brakes throughout. The custom exterior is painted orange with a gray top, with the pop-up camper removed and a custom retractable soft-top installed. The custom interior was meticulously created using black and gray materials on the custom seating with a Harley-Davidson theme. All new rubber seals have been installed throughout this bus. Customizing further, matching vent windows were installed in second row seating area, which was never an option offered on a VW bus. Equipped with 17-inch custom wheels tucked under the wheel wells, adding to the low-slung look with fresh Pirelli tires. Everything is replaced and detailed under the bus, including a new steering box, shocks, powder-coated bumpers, starter, alternator - and the list goes on. All badging was removed from the exterior of the bus, but an extremely rare 1937 ADAC German auto club's badge was added to the front grille, representing the year that Volkswagen formally established. The one thing left on the bus representing the original Westfalia is the gas-operated torpedo heater (functional but is disc).
