1966 DODGE HEMI CORONET 500 CONVERTIBLE

This extremely rare 1966 426 HEMI convertible is one of 12 of the 426ci HEMI Coronet 500 4-speed convertibles produced. It has the correct 426 HEMI, factory production Trim Tag and IBM card image as provided by Chrysler Corporation. The 500 has undergone a complete, no-expense-spared professional concours rotisserie restoration. It has the original dealer Window Sticker, factory OEM Build Sheet, owner's manual, and is in the MMC Detroit Global Vehicle Registry and Galen Registry. The 500-series

model was the highest trim level offered from Dodge in the midsize lineup. The Coronet product was redesigned for 1966. The 426/425hp HEMI V8 engine, well known in NASCAR and on the drag strip, offered 10.25 compression as a street engine. Equipped with hemispherical cylinder heads, heated intake, dual inline 4-barrel Carter carburetors, free-flow manifolds, dual exhaust and a tire-shredding 490 ft/lbs of torque. Being a 500-model meant additional exterior trim was added, and this example is painted silver. The metallic finish is well-complemented by a black top and interior. Inside this car are front bucket seats and the center console with an integrated shifter. It also comes with tinted glass, a power convertible top, heat and defrost and push-button radio. Its factory steel wheels with full-size wheel covers, and blue-stripe tires finish the look.
