SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. ‒ May 11, 2021 – Barrett-Jackson, The World’s Greatest Collector Car Auctions, is gearing up for an electrifying Las Vegas auction as it sets its sights on The Entertainment Capital of the World in June as the first public event in the all-new West Hall at the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC). Channeling the tremendous energy created during its recent Scottsdale Auction, Barrett-Jackson’s 2021 Las Vegas Auction, June 17-19, is destined to be the hottest ticket in town, in the most talked-about new venue in the region, with early consignments that include an incredible Liquid Red 2019 Ford GT (preview) with less than 25 miles, which will be selling with No Reserve.
Among the Resto-Mods to be offered in Las Vegas is this 1971 Chevrolet K5 Blazer.
“Our foot is planted firmly on the accelerator as we head into Las Vegas and the beautiful new West Hall at the Las Vegas Convention Center,” said Craig Jackson, chairman and CEO of Barrett-Jackson. “In March, we breathed new life back into this incredible hobby and set the collector car community into motion during our Scottsdale Auction. We couldn’t be more excited to be heading to the great destination of Vegas at a great new venue with some great cars, like the 2019 Ford GT. Consignments are coming in rapidly – now’s the time to be part of what promises to be a phenomenal event.”
The all-new $989-million, 1.4-million-square-foot West Hall at the Las Vegas Convention Center has received national attention and praise as Las Vegas’s top new destination spot for marquee events. With modern amenities, ample indoor space and the latest technology, the new facility is the perfect home for Barrett-Jackson’s Las Vegas Auction.
Another early consignment for the 2021 Las Vegas Auction is this 2011 Porsche 911 Speedster, offered with No Reserve.
Early consignments that will be selling with No Reserve include a 2019 Ford GT (preview) with a purpose-built custom-made trailer. Finished in Liquid Red Tri-Coat with a Dark Energy interior and powered by a 3.5-liter V6 EcoBoost engine with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, the GT has less than 25 actual miles. Also consigned for Las Vegas is a 2011 Porsche 911 Speedster (preview), #256 of 356 produced worldwide and one of 100 allotted to the U.S. market, as well as a custom 1971 Chevrolet K5 Blazer (preview). A true K5 with a nut and bolt, body-off restoration, this Blazer features only the best parts and pushes the limits of attention to detail.
“The excitement was absolutely palpable during our Scottsdale Auction,” said Steve Davis, president of Barrett-Jackson. “We look forward to taking that energy to our Las Vegas Auction inside the incredible new West Hall at the Convention Center. This facility has earned national fanfare and we’re going to make history by setting the tone for events inside this amazing new destination spot. Our guests will be blown away by our amazing docket and the magnificent new facility.”
In addition to the multi-million-dollar West Hall expansion, Las Vegas also celebrated the recent completion of one of the country’s most expensive sports venues, Allegiant Stadium, home of the NFL’s Las Vegas Raiders. During the Las Vegas Auction, Barrett-Jackson will add to its more than $133 million raised for charity with the sale of a 2021 Custom Ford Bronco 4-Door Badlands Raider Edition. This custom Ford will be the first Bronco Raider Edition ever produced and will be wrapped in Vegas Raider colors, with 100 percent of the hammer price benefitting Grant a Gift Autism Foundation.
