CARROLL SHELBY'S 1968 FORD MUSTANG 'BLACK HORNET'

This car came out of Carroll Shelby's personal collection and is recognized in the Shelby Worldwide Registry. Carroll was involved in the creation of this beautiful triple-black Mustang and, before it was transformed into the 'Black Hornet,' Carroll Shelby held it in his personnel possession for 40 years, only to be taken out on the street rarely. The car was produced as a tribute to the Green Hornet in every way except for its color, independent suspension and EFI fuel delivery system. A true one-of-one Mustang, 'Black Hornet' is one of the most iconic-named Mustangs under the direction of Carroll Shelby prior to his passing in May 2012. 'Black Hornet' comes with a 428ci big-block V8 engine, Holley carburetor, aluminum intake and heads, Accel ignition and Griffin radiator. The Mustang is also equipped with Shelby 10-spoke wheels and many other upgrades. The car is in mint condition and only had 213 miles on it when Shelby signed the title over to his foundation on December 29, 2008. Today it has only 564 miles on the odometer and comes with Carroll Shelby's signature on the 'Transfer of Ownership.' A Certificate of Authenticity signed by Shelby is also included with the car's history. 'Black Hornet' comes with a toy diecast of the car. The car was displayed at the SEMA Show in 2008. A very rare opportunity for someone to own a piece of Shelby history.
