Details
Ford’s 2015 Shelby GT350R Mustang was a legend reborn, celebrating the 50-year heritage of transforming Ford’s iconic Mustang into an all-out, street-legal track star. Like its 1965 R-Model counterpart, production of the GT350R was limited to only 37 units, but this time around, purchase was restricted to Ford family and VIPs - making ownership a very exclusive affair. The GT350R’s special flat-plane crankshaft configuration and DOHC cylinder heads allow the 5.2-liter engine to attain its 526
peak horsepower at 7,500 rpm, while redline is set at a screaming 8,250 rpm. The chassis is equally adept, with numerous Shelby-specific components and Ford’s adjustable MagneRide dampers. The 6-speed manual transmission channels power to a Torsen limited-slip differential with 3.73 gears, and the brakes are track-spec Brembos all around. The ultra-lightweight 19” carbon-fiber wheels are wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires. Although the GT350R was available in a totally bare-bones version, this car was ordered with the GT350R Electronics Package, adding useful amenities such as Ford’s Sync 3, a 7-speaker sound system, dual-zone automatic air conditioning, and navigation. Showing less than 200 miles on the odometer, the car was prominently displayed in Bruce Meyer’s Beverly Hills Garage since he took delivery in 2015. Protective plastic remains on the sill plates and carpeting, and the floor mats are still packaged in the trunk. The Oxford White exterior is unmarked and the interior, featuring lightweight Recaros, is as-new. Included in this sale are all the original purchase documents, owner’s manual and supplements, both key fobs, the replacement oil filter and special wrench, and an exclusive presentation box containing a small metal replica of the flat-plane crankshaft and limited-edition art prints. The Factory Safety “Engine Oil Cooler Tube Assembly Replacement” was performed in 2017. From the Bruce Meyer Collection. **100% OF HAMMER PRICE TO BENEFIT THE PETERSEN AUTOMOTIVE AND HENRY FORD MUSEUMS** **WILL BE SOLD AT APPROXIMATELY 6:30 P.M. MST ON FRIDAY, JANUARY 18, 2019**
