Crafted design, thrilling performance and sophisticated technology position the 3rd-generation CTS sedan in the heart of the midsize luxury segment. The all-new Cadillac CTS Vsport, Cadillac's first twin turbo engine, is the most power-dense 6 cylinder engine in the midsize luxury segment. The twin turbo will expand the performance credentials of the upcoming 2014 CTS sedan, launching this fall in the United States. The lucky bidder will receive the first regular retail production vehicle
produced. Almost every component of the Vsport is unique. The grille is wider, with a dark finish, while the headlamps flow up with the hood line, incorporating crystalline LED light guides for a technologically advanced appearance with more uniform illumination. Excellent power-to-weight ratio and racetrack-honed suspension geometries also provide greater feedback, control and response. The Cadillac twin turbo is SAE certified at 420hp (313 kW) and 430 lb/ft of torque (583 Nm). Two turbochargers produce more than 12 pounds of boost (80 kPa), hitting 0-60 in only 4.4 seconds. Cadillac's first high-performance, paddle-shift, 8-speed automatic transmission delivers smooth, quick shift performance along with an electronic limited-slip differential and segment exclusive Magnetic Ride Control. Lightweight technologies, including aluminum door structures, contribute to lower curb weight and nearly 50/50 weight balance. The crafted design of the CTS sedan is evident in its low roofline, athletic stance, taught lines and hand-crafted interior. At the core of CTS's sophisticated technologies is CUE (Cadillac User Experience), an intuitive infotainment system that uses smartphone and tablet-influenced controls and commands to access information and entertainment data. Proceeds from the sale of this vehicle will benefit the SAE Foundation, which strives to encourage and increase student participation and achievement in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).
