The 1989 is the most sought after year of the 928GTcars, due to lack of airbags and less complex rear differential. The 1989 also has rolled fenders for larger wheels and tires. If you are a Porsche connoisseur then you may know this but, these are the differences between the 1989 928S4 and the 1989 928GT: The GT has more precise pistons, higher lift and longer duration of cams, lighter and more free-flowing exhaust, different engine computer mapping, idles at 775rpm (instead of 675rpm), has a rev limit of 6800rpm vs. 6600rpm, torque peak at 4100rpm vs. 3200rpm, 326hp vs. 316hp, 8' and 9' wheels vs. 7' and 8' wheels, 17mm rear bolt-on spacers for wider track and factory 'cringed' fender lips to guarantee clearance with wider track. I will not describe this car as perfect because I have never seen a perfect car. I will say that this car is almost perfect with only a few rock chips less than 1/2mm.
