1979 PONTIAC TRANS AM 10TH ANNIVERSARY COUPE

Details

Pontiac built 7,500 10th Anniversary Trans Ams in 1979 and this is one of 1,817 with the 400cid and 4-speed combination. All 10th Anniversary cars came standard with two tone silver and charcoal paint scheme, topped off by a special five color hood bird that extended out over the hood and onto the tops of the fenders. The interior featured special silver leather trimmed seats and door panels with the Firebird emblem embroidered into the door panels and rear seat back. The T-Tops were also done

in a special silver mirrored finish instead of the standard smoked glass on regular Trans Ams. All 10th Anniversary cars came equipped with the famed WS6 handling package, 4-wheel disc brakes, 3.23 limited slip rear axle and 15x8 cast aluminum Turbo wheels. Also standard were all power options which included power windows, door locks, trunk release, antenna, rear defroster, tilt wheel and AM/FM/8 Track stereo. Just about everything on these cars was taken to the next level to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the popular Trans Am. This example has 58,000 original miles documented with service records going back to 1979 and is a full matching numbers and PHS documented as a Y89 10th Anniversary T/A. This car has had one correct repaint.
