In 1979 Pontiac produced over 119,000 Trans Ams, only 7,500 were the special 10th Anniversary Edition. These cars came standard with every option available which include power steering, power brakes, power door locks, air conditioning, power antenna, power trunk release, rear window defrost, tilt column, cruise control, silver leather seats and door panels, shag carpet, mirrored T-Tops, red illuminated gauges, Turbo aluminum wheels, WS6 handling package, giant bird decal on the hood and the list
goes on. These cars were so special that NASCAR chose them to be the pace car for the first ever nationally televised Daytona 500 in February 1979. This car has been restored to original with upgraded 2 1/2' aluminized exhaust and AM/FM digital stereo system. This car comes from a private collection in a temperature controlled environment.
