This one owner car was paid cash for in 1979 by a 17-year-old, extremely mature young man who had worked odd jobs since he was 13 with the dream of someday owning a fine piece such as this 1979 black and gold Hurst Olds. With his father in tow, they went down to their local dealership, Victor George Oldsmobile in Flint, MI, to buy this particular car, a 1979 Hurst Olds, black and gold in color with T-tops and had rare features such as the W30 350cid Rocket Jet, Hurst dual gate shifter, air conditioning, AM/FM 8-track, chrome and high back cloth bucket seats. The car still has the original tires and factory plastic that is still intact on the floorboards. The mileage reads 2,228 original miles, and has never seen inclement weather such as snow. In 1980, after only driving this car for 4 months, the young man ran into a car enthusiast at one of the local car shows, where he began to tell the young man what a rare car the '79 Hurst Olds was. The young man, with the encouragement of his father, decided after only driving the car for 4 months, to store it in the family's garage where it has stayed to maintain its original pristine condition and with its original tires. This car has won several awards at car shows, where it has been transported in an enclosed trailer to and from the car show which makes this car a true survivor.
