Details

Top dollar rotisserie build was an effort to create the ultimate performance Trans Am. Thousands of hours were spent not only installing the best parts but also engineering and fabricating to make sure those parts meld flawlessly. The result is one of the baddest, best engineered and best performing street machines around. Invited to Optima's prestigious 2010 Street Car Invitational which is an invitation only event of the top 50 street machines in existence. Optima featured the car at their

SEMA booth and in promotional material, and it graced the cover of Popular Hot Rodding magazine when the editors chose it as one of just 13 cars from Optima's Street Car Challenge to feature. A true and documented Y88 Gold 4-speed car, it was then rotisserie restored, loaded with the absolute best parts and assembled by a member of the Ring brothers build team as his personal car. Under the hood is a Wegner Motorsports built LS3 punched out to 416cid and producing 651hp at 7,800rpm and 532ft/lbs of torque at 5,300rpm with GM intake, FAST throttle body and fuel rails. The transmission is a built T56 6-speed and the rear is a Spraker Racing 9' with Detroit Locker, Moser 31-spline axle and 3.89 gears. The custom front suspension has a Jakes Rod Shop Apex C6 subframe with Hyperco coil over springs on Blistein shocks, C6 Corvette controls arms and spindles and Speedway Engineering splined sway bar. The rear suspension boasts Jakes Rod Shop torque arm, Hyperco coil over springs on Blistein shocks and Detroit Speed mini-tubs. The brakes are Baer 6-piston with 14' drilled rotors. To make sure the car had the correct 50/50 weight balance, real one-off carbon fiber fenders were added to the front along with a fiberglass hood. Ringbrothers hood pins, hood hinges and clutch reservoirs along with custom engine panel's finish off this performance machine while Forgeline WC3 18x10 and 18x12 wheels give it the perfect stance. This is a classic built to perform with the best modern supercars. From the Greg Mauzy Collection.
