Prior to a meticulous, ground-up restoration, this '77 FJ40 hardtop was a one family owned vehicle that was stored indoors in the arid high plains of Wyoming. They don't salt the roads in those parts and this FJ's owner rarely went off-road. So this rig was a bone dry and rust-free survivor before every surface from the frame-up was professionally stripped and refinished in its factory original color combination of Freeborn Red over gray interior. The upholstery, original gauges, steering wheel,

heater, rear jump seats and every control knob on the dash looks like the day it left the factory. Under the hood is the freshly overhauled, original 4.2 Liter 2F OHV inline 6-cylinder engine with correct performance specifications and all of the factory emissions equipment for the 1977 model year. Power is sent to the wheels via the original 4-speed manual transmission with low-range and part-time AWD. Notable upgrades to this FJ-40 include a 3' suspension lift kit and 31' Toyo Open Country M/T tires, which have been mounted on the factory wheels as well as a brand new stainless exhaust system.
