Only one owner since new. Originally designed by Virgil Exner, they were a very limited production with only 550 total made between 1971 to 1987. It debuted in January 1970 at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City. All the bodies were all handcrafted in Torino, Italy using the American made special G-Body Pontiac chassis and running gear. Original MSRP in 1976 was $64,165. The Stutz was originally sold by Stutz Motor Cars in Hollywood, CA and has remained in California its entire life. The
original California Blue Plates still registered to the Stutz on its California title. Equipped with the original 455/425hp Rocket V8 big block and TH400 transmission. Most came equipped with 24 karat gold plated interior bezels, Birdseye maple wood panels and mink carpeting. They originally had 18-22 hand rubbed coats of lacquer paint which took six weeks to apply. Each vehicle had over 1,500 man hours in Italy to create the handmade custom appearance you see today.
