Description
This 1974 Volkswagen Type II custom pickup underwent a meticulous restoration by the professionals on the A&J Revival team in Brazil. Every part of this bus has been restored or rebuilt with restoration, bodywork, electrical and mechanical modifications, including the completely rebuilt powertrain. It's powered by a factory-original 1,500cc 4-cylinder engine that produces 65hp, mated to a rebuilt 4-speed manual transmission and a new EMPI shift lever for quick shifts. Air enters the engine through a custom sport air filter. An aluminum crank pulley was installed, along with an adjustable tensioner and alternator pulleys. A new electronic injection system is responsible for managing and optimizing the air-fuel mixture that is injected into the combustion chamber. A new distributor, ignition coil, spark plugs and cables were also installed. The Volkswagen's electrical system was completely redone, from the wires and cables to the alternator, and was converted into a 12-watt system with an alternator, voltage regulator and battery. This truck was slightly lowered with ratchet suspension and a complete shock absorber kit. The suspension, steering and braking systems were rebuilt with new exclusive Volkswagen parts. It is equipped with a split windshield with two safari-model chrome front openings. This vehicle also has a new VW logo and front grille, original side mirrors, dashboard grilles and windshield wiper arms. It has a rear trunk and a long bed with retractable sides, offering additional storage. This Volkswagen rolls on light-alloy wheels with wide diamond spokes painted black. The entire structure and bodywork were restored on the grille before the vehicle received a new two-tone paint job in the Volkswagen colors of Champagne Beige and Cherry Red. The cabin has also been completely redone with a new custom interior, brown genuine leather door panels and a brown headliner. The original seats were restored by replacing the foam and springs and covered in brown genuine leather with standard VW stitching. A wooden sports steering wheel was also installed.
Powered by a factory-original 1500cc engine mated to a rebuilt 4-speed manual transmission. Nearly every part was rebuilt and restored by A&J Revival.
