This pickup, nicknamed Big Blue has been in the same family for 33 years, (August 1977). It has had great care but in the late 1990's the factory paint was fading and the 360cid engine was getting tired. Anticipating the continued use of this pickup, a complete restoration was started which took the next several years. The 360cid engine was replaced with a 390cid engine, which was rebuilt using all new parts and a great deal of care. It features hardened valve seats so it can use unleaded fuel,

has been balanced and sports the rare 335 'S' intake manifold. It has a new Holley 750 carburetor and runs very smooth and strong. Other parts with a lot of miles on them were also replaced with quality parts such as the alternator, starter solenoid, etc. It has just under 1,000 miles on it since being rebuilt. The C6 transmission was also rebuilt during this time frame. It was professionally painted in the original factory blue using the base coat clear coat paint system. To complement the paint job, show quality front and rear bumpers, a '78-'79 chrome grille, a line x spray in bed liner and stainless steel bed and tailgate protectors were added. It has a new windshield, a new breezer removable rear window, new door weatherstripping and window fuzzies. The seat was professionally reupholstered. The pickup also has set-up for dual batteries, dual 15-gallon fuel tanks, new dual exhaust, new brakes front and rear, 4-core heavy duty radiator, professionally installed weight distributing hitch and a 10-disc CD stacker.
