This 1973 Volkswagen Baja Beetle is a custom over-the-top build on a Type 11 Thing chassis with new shocks, Raptor lining and a custom paint scheme. It's powered by a fresh 1941ci 4-cylinder engine with 94mm pistons, single Weber downdraft carburetor, Stinger exhaust with rain cap, aluminum finned valve covers, remote oil filter, engine tins and a matching paint scheme, backed by a heavy-duty bus 4-speed manual transmission. This custom Beetle features custom-built Nerf bars, tubular front push
bar and engine cage, 31x9.5 MT Jackman wheels, custom Grant steering wheel, Panasonic stereo and racing bucket seats with slim covers in red and black. It was built as a replica to the Hot VW magazine Class 11 race Bug from the Baja 500.
