Details
This custom 1972 Ford Bronco is powered by a FiTech fuel-injected 347ci engine paired with a C4 automatic transmission. The engine is the original 302 V8 cylinder block with heads that were bored and stroked, and features forged pistons, total-seal gapless rings, a 3.4 stroke crankshaft, bushed I-beam rods, a nodular iron damper, SS roller rockers, Elgin guide plates, aluminum breather with PCV valve, 347 aluminum valve cover, Schneider camshaft parts, HP valve springs, black race intake and exhaust valves, balanced assembly and degree timing components, and Smith Brothers pushrods. The custom head porting pushes over 400hp. This Bronco has undergone a complete body-off restoration that includes sandblasting the frame and then coating it with KBS three-stage coatings and painting the frame with soft-coat KBS frame coating. It features a 5.5-inch-long radius arm lift with shocks with all-new steering parts, tie rods, tie-rod sleeves, ball joints, power steering and a C4 automatic transmission. The Bronco is also equipped with Kevlar bands and extra clutches in the forward pack, a 2500-rpm stall converter, a deep aluminum-finned cooling transmission pan and stainless-steel cooler lines. The rebuilt Dana 20 transfer case was completely gone through, getting new bearings and seals, as well as custom driveshafts built to match the lift on the vehicle. The rear differential is a Ford 9-inch LSD with new bearings and seals. The front is a Dana 44 LSD differential with a front disc conversion upgrade and with new bearings and U-joints, including WARN front hubs. The engine bay has one large cooling fan, a serpentine belt system, a billet alternator and a billet power steering pump. Braking is provided by a 6-piston Wilwood caliper 4-wheel disc brake system with four drilled 12.88-inch rotors using a Wilwood tandem master brake cylinder. There is a FiTech port fuel-injection system with programmable onboard tuning, FiTech fuel command module, new lines and return system, upgrade tanks and a switching system. Other features include ceramic-coated headers, a MagnaFlow stainless-steel dual-exhaust system and a large sump oil pan kit with Lokar dipstick. It has new controls in the interior, along with a digital analog gauge cluster, a new heater core and fan assembly, and a new Painless Performance wiring harness, along with all-new lights and switches. The entire electrical system has been replaced and updated. There is a new dash pad and heater components, as well as an all-new carpet kit with a Racket Jacket sound insulation system (the roof of the top also has this system installed). The Bronco also has sound-dense lining in the complete cabin area. The roll bar is a custom 2-inch tube family bar with frenched-in welds and a powder-coated Hammarite finish. The seats are from Tom's Bronco Parts with a rear fold-and-tumble option along with a Lock & Load security console. The windows were all replaced, as were all the seals and latches. A new tilt steering column is attached to the Ford power steering box; the pedal box and pedals are also new. The interior is equipped with a graphite steering wheel and features Vintage Air system. The exterior is a PPG paint with three extra layers of clearcoat applied for that deep gloss. All the lights were upgraded with today's technology and all the bezels were replaced with billet aluminum machined parts. A hood-support strut kit is added for ease of access to the engine bay and has a cooler or camping trunk storage area, which opens the interior room for passengers. This Bronco rides on American Force wheels wrapped in Toyo MT tires. Underneath are eight FOX shocks and FOX stabilizer shocks.
