Details
This original Arizona custom 1972 Chevrolet K20 pickup has undergone a comprehensive nut-and-bolt restoration that features the best in modern upgrades. Custom paint, bodywork and final assembly were completed by Hogie Shine in Phoenix, AZ. Dan Hogan's builds are known to be some of the finest trucks built. The truck is powered by a fresh 5.7-liter LS1 engine dressed in a classic retro small-block Chevy look. The engine features a Holley Terminator LS fuel-injection system, All American Billet valve covers with hidden coils covered with original SBC Chevrolet script valve covers, polished stainless headers and a Drive Junkies billet accessory drive system finish off the package, which is coated in high-gloss Hugger Orange with black accents. The engine is connected to a new Turbo 400 automatic transmission and a freshly rebuilt NP205 transfer case. The stock front axle has been replaced with a Dana 60 equipped with chromoly axle shafts, heavy-duty one-ton cross-over steering and new WARN heavy-duty locking hubs. The rear axle is the original Eaton HO52 unit that was completely gone through and has new bearings, seals and gaskets. Front and rear axles feature new 4.10 ratio gearsets. Stopping power comes from new slotted front rotors and a rear disc brake setup connected to a Wilwood master cylinder and hydro-boost system. The whole truck boldly sits on 37-inch BFG KM3 tires with classic U.S. Mags slotted wheels and rides on a 6-inch soft-ride suspension lift with Fox 2.0 remote reservoir gas shocks. The exhaust is a work of art by Rad Fab in Phoenix and features polished Borla mufflers and meticulously TIG-welded tubing with billet hangers. The original fuel tank was removed from behind the seat and replaced with an aluminum unit in the rear frame featuring a hidden filler behind the taillight assembly. The bed features an aluminum simulated wood system from Smokey Roads Rod Shop and is finished in beautiful Gunsmoke wood grain. The same wood grain is also featured in the Cheyenne trim to tie things together. The exterior is finished in beautiful blue and metallic silver and has all-new Cheyenne chrome trim. The interior begins with a custom bench seat from Snowden Custom Upholstery and the quality details continue throughout with a Vintage Air system with electronic controls, a Dakota Digital cluster and a RetroSound stereo deck connected to a custom Rockford Fosgate sound system. Other custom details include flush-mounted glass from Fessler, custom-fitted modern side mirrors, new LED lights, custom polished stainless hard lines and an all-aluminum Entropy radiator with dual fans.
