Description
This custom 1972 Chevrolet K5 Blazer SUV is a one-off creation of a Cheyenne Super in K5 form. This recently completed true nut-and-bolt, rotisserie restoration has been done with attention to detail. It is dressed to impress in its Triple-Black theme. This Blazer is powered by a brand-new GM Performance LS2 crate engine producing 450hp mated to a new TCI automatic transmission backed by a NP205 transfer case. The engine bay is finished in Omaha Orange with retro script Holley coil pack covers, bronze Cerakote exhaust manifolds, a black Holley mid-mount serpentine system, Wilwood power brake booster, a Vintage Air system and nicely tucked wiring from American Autowire, with everything done in cloth-style loom and heat shrink. The body tub has been coated in U-POL Raptor lining on the inside and out for sound-deadening and heat transfer, with the inside also lined with Kilmat for added comfort. The suspension features a 4-inch Rough Country lift and steering stabilizer. The factory chassis has been completely torn down, sandblasted, bodyworked and painted in a Smoked Charcoal base coat/clear coat for a nice finish. The chassis is also plumbed with all-new stainless-steel brake lines, a HotRod braided fuel hose and fittings from the aluminum EFI fuel tank. All of this rides on a brand-new set of 17-inch slotted U.S. Mags wheels and 35x12.50 Mud-Terrain tires. The K5 is finished in Jet Black from top to bottom and is sporting truck-style upper and lower wood-grain trim. It also has custom Cheyenne K5 billet emblems from Rad Machine on the factory GM font. The second black option is the restored double-wall top that has been completely torn down and retextured with black inside and out, assembled with all-new seals and glass and upgraded with gas struts on the rear hatch. The third black option is the classic-minded interior, which features restored factory seats in custom bolstered form finished in classic black and houndstooth inserts with frenched-in seams, wood-grain panels, wrapped deluxe door panels and a factory console with upgraded cup holders. The retro gauges recall the glamour era of the truck with the RTX Dakota Digital display, while still maintaining that stock look. It features a Classic Performance Products tilt column, is sporting a SureGrip wheel and has an Autosound digital but stock-appearing radio and black slide controls for the Vintage Air system. The dash is finished off in the classic wood grain with a Cheyenne Super glove box emblem. It features an all-new factory green-tint glass and seals throughout.
Rotisserie-restored and a one-off creation of a Cheyenne Super in K5 form. Triple-Black-themed and powered by a new GM LS2 engine mated to a TCI automatic transmission, with a Vintage Air system and a custom houndstooth interior.
