Details
1971 was the last year for big block high compression engine in Chrysler-Plymouths pony cars. Sales were on a downward slide due to both insurance rates and gas prices on their way up. Safety concerns and emissions regulations were bringing the muscle car era to an end, but what a final year for the following: 440cid Six Pack and Hi-Impact colors like In Violet were popular on the sporty pony cars. The unique 'cheese grater' four headlight grille and fender gills make for a one year only appearance on the 'Cuda. DANA 60 rear axle with 4.10:1 gears with the mandatory power front disc brakes to ensure you could pass everything but a gas station. From the Brett Torino Collection.
