Presenting a beautiful example of an undocumented 1971 Oldsmobile 442 Convertible W30 4-speed that has gone through a complete restoration. It is one of 110 W30 convertibles built and retains its original color, engine and transmission. Only 36 of the 110 built had a 4-speed. As the trim tag indicates, this 442 was built the 1st week of May in 1971 at the assembly plant in Lansing, Michigan. In 1971, the W30s were only built in Lansing, Michigan. The body and paint was done by well-known John

Derue Management. Some photos of the restoration are included with the car. Most of the sheet metal is original to the car, other than the floors. The body is arrow straight and the Sterling Silver paint shines beautifully. The car originally came with a black top, but it was changed to a white top. It has a power top with a glass window. Everything on the exterior has been restored or replaced. The car also originally had a black interior, but it was changed to a black and white interior. Some interior features include the Rally pack gauges, tilt sport wheel and an AM/FM radio. Everything on the interior has been restored or replaced. The engine compartment is nicely detailed. It retains its original 455 engine that matches the VIN. It also retains its original M22 Rock Crusher 4-speed transmission which also matches the VIN. In 1971, only the W30s had an M22 Rock Crusher transmission. Other features include power steering and manual disc brakes.
