Legendary off-road race truck builder Bill Stroppe introduced the limited edition Stroppe Baja Bronco in 1971 and the trucks were built through the 1976 model year. Sales figures by Stroppe estimate that 650 were sold from 1971-1975. Features of the Baja Bronco, which were based on the sport wagon model, include distinctive red, white and blue paint, a flat black colored hood to reduce glare, a 302cid V8 engine with a 4-barrel

carburetor, and automatic transmission, a roll bar, double shocks front and rear, rear fender flares, cut-out front fenders with modified flares, 8' wide wheels, a heavy duty suspension, additional oil and transmission coolers, an auxiliary 10.3 gallon fuel tank, a swing out rear spare tire carrier and Baja Bronco nameplates on the body. This real Stroppe Baja Bronco was located in Southern California from when it sold new until early 2009 moving to Central Oregon. This bronco was restored with new and correct Stroppe tri-tone paint, new interior, new brakes on all 4 wheels, new exhaust system.
