Details

This custom 1971 Chevy C-10 pick-up truck, lovingly called 'Adel'(a Scandinavian term for Nobility), was donated to the Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer by AHFPC founders Jim and Amy Jo Osborn. Adel was designed and built with acute attention to detail by Chimera Customs of N. Palm Harbor, FL to be sold on behalf of the Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer. Adel received a comprehensive body-off-frame restoration using the finest componentry available that includes

Odyssey Batteries, a complete air ride suspension from Ridetech, BeCool radiator system, Goodmark Industries body panels, Vintage Air air conditioning system, a complete audio system from JL Audio and J.W. Speaker LED headlights. The Chevrolet Performance LS3 E-ROD 'connect and cruise' powertrain includes a 430hp LS3, 4L65-E transmission, transmission attachment hardware and Chevrolet Performance controller kit. Summit Racing contributed a large variety of parts and Whistler Group provided the remote radar detection. 13' wide and 20' diameter custom alloy wheels from Grip Equipped frame a 4-wheel disc brake system from Baer Brakes that features 6-piston calipers with 14' vented discs. The Michelin Pilot Super Sport 275/35-20 and 335/30-20 high-performance tires give Adel her commanding stance. Stock spec glass from Techna Glass completes the vision. A 12'x19' Swisstrax modular floor designed for the truck accompanies the truck to her new owners. Adel was unveiled at the 2013 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, NV and is featured in an upcoming edition of Classic Truck magazine. Video footage and hundreds of photographs chronicle the build of this amazing truck. Proceeds from the sale of Adel will benefit children and families supported by the Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer. The Foundation provides a variety of specialized services and therapies that are designed to address often overlooked issues that affect patients' cognitive development and the family's social, emotional and interpersonal dynamics. O'Leary Trucking will provide the auction winner transport of this fabulous vehicle to its new home. This vehicle was Dyno'd at 402rwhp/398 lb-ft torque.
