Plymouth built the Superbird for only 1 year. This is an original 100% numbers matching time capsule. This Superbird was given to a 16 year old whose father was the owner of the Mopar Performance Dealership in Richmond Kentucky. The son drove the car for a few years and it was then placed into storage where it remained until the late 80'S when the now older son began taking it to car shows and won several awards. The car was then stored in the dealers warehouse until 2006 when it reappeared and was sold. This is a #1 Original survivor car, with its original FENDER TAG, BUILT / BROADCAST SHEET, CARBURATER, ENGINE, TRANY, INTAKE, TRUNK MAT, SPARE ECT, ECT..... This bird maintains its original paint with the exception of the nose cone. The car is untouched: even the spare tire has never been used. This is an early production car built by Plymouth in order to qualify the Superbird for racing in NASCAR sanctioned events.
