The BOSS Mustangs were designed by the renowned styling and performance genius, Larry Shinoda. Their primary purpose was to be competitive in the Trans-Am racing series and compete they did, winning the Trans-Am series championship in 1970. This BOSS seemingly belongs in a category by itself, being an un-touched and un-restored original. A Ford technician bought the car new and meticulously kept it the next 36 years. It still retains every mechanical and electrical component since new with

exception to the brake master cylinder, fuel pump and of course the battery. Both the original owner, as well as the original selling dealer, still reside in their home town of Okeene, OK. As the present owner and consignor, I have recently spoken with both parties to verify the facts about this car. It unbelievably still has the original paint, upholstery, drivetrain, etc, everything. It even has the original exhaust system front to rear. It is still rolling on its original four tires with at least some of the same air that they were inflated with in 1970. Again, it has been unbelievably preserved as it turns 40 this year. Documentation includes Window Sticker invoice, copy of original title, mileage statement, original warranty card, all original books and manuals and two Marti Reports. Also, the original owner says the car has sat outside overnight only two nights in its life. If you want to see how Ford did these cars in 1970 just look at this one. Remember, you can restore a car as many times as you wish, but they are original only once.
