Details
San Jose built R code 428 CJ. Spent majority of it's life on the West Coast. Original restoration completed in 1992. Just completed restoration of every part under the hood, front suspension, interior and fuel system. Most parts under the hood and drive train are original to the car as it came from the San Jose plant in 1969. Driven only 12,000 miles since 1991. 4-time MCA Gold Concours Winner. Appeared as feature car on My Classic Car January 1999. Complete Marti-Report. Binder full of pictures, judging sheets and previous owners registrations. Over 100 receipts detailing work done to car since 1991. Original matching motor and trans. The Holly carb, autolite dual point distributor, smog system, power steering pump, power steering cooler, heat shield, power brake booster and air pump are original to this car and have been freshly rebuilt. All hoses, clamps and belts are brand new and are correctly date coded. The Carter fuel pump, alternator, throttle cable and rev limiter are NOS. Restorations were done to meet stringent MCA concours correctness even going as far as using the correct Autolite oil filter. All markings are correct to the 70 Mach 1. The Calypso Coral paint and white interior are the original colors. According to the Marti report all equipment is is original to how it was ordered in November 1969 except for the radio.
