This Resto-Mod 1970 Dodge Challenger convertible underwent a four-year extensive off-body restoration built at the Superior Hot Rod Shop by Bill Dickinson. It all began with the original 1970 Dodge Challenger convertible with altercations done to the firewall, floor pans and body panels to accept the 6.1-liter HEMI New Generation engine, which had been stripped and built to the specs of a supercharged Kenne Bell programmed engine with an original new-age Dodge Computer System. This custom-built

engine includes a Mammoth throttle-body fuel-injection system and a custom hand-built fresh cold-air intake. Backed by a TREMEC 6-speed transmission with hydraulic clutch pressure plate with a dual-clutch pack and a balanced drive line, including a loop to a 390 posi-traction 8:75 Dutchman Harden axles 4-link coilover rear-end. The front suspension built by RMS Altercations features RallySport rack & pinion steering with a complete Lynx rear-tuned suspension. Additionally, the Hotchkis subframe connects to a bumper-to-bumper box tube framing. This Challenger rolls on 18-inch American Racing wheels on the front with a special offset 20-inch in the rear combined line lock with Wilwood disc brakes. The special-built and designed interior features a G-Force seating and belt system with Vintage Air, carbon AutoMeter gauge cluster with push-button start tied in with the Pioneer Ultra Blast stereo system. Finally, it is fitted with a custom, one-off new Challenger front headlight assembly.
