Details

With a vision to build the finest Dodge Challenger on the planet the checkbook opened and famed builder Bobby Alloway began construction. Starting with a custom chassis constructed by Art Morrison. This chassis was the prototype for future production chassis. Art also built front spindles and tubular control arms. The rear is a 9' Trac Loc with axles from Strange Engineering, supported by a Morrison 3-link and panhard bar. Brakes are 14' disc by Wilwood with 6-piston calipers. The wheels were

cut by Boyd Coddington. New rear quarter panels were fitted and widened 3' on each side to accommodate the 22'x10' wheels. Custom firewall and inner fender wells were needed for the all-aluminum Indy cylinder HEMI engine. Custom rear valance was built and bumpers were modified for flush mounting. Custom dash was built for the car and Classic Instruments were installed. Custom door panels molded from fiberglass with inserts. The floor tunnel and dash were fabricated from aluminum. Custom seats were built for the back seat to fit around tubs and front seats were also custom built. Custom interior was covered with leather by Paul Atkins Interiors of Alabama. The engine is an all-aluminum engine by Indy Cylinder. Hensley Performance, who has built MOPAR engines for over 35 years, performed the machine and assembly work. Callis Crank, Manley 4340 steel H-beam rods and Ross pistons. Keasler Racing built a one-off induction system for the car. Eight Viper throttle bodies were used and mounted to the injectors and fuel rails underneath the intake and ignited with a crank trigger ignition from MSD. John Meaney developed the ECM, harness and system functionality. This Challenger has won several awards and achievements and they include ISCA Street Machine of the Year 2007, Goodguys Finalist Street Machine of the Year 2006, Goodguys put a picture of the car on the Columbus, OH media material and on the T-Shirt for 2007, invited to SEMA 2006 and 2007, in 2006 was in the BFGoodrich booth, in 2007 it was in the Chrysler booth beside the concept Challenger, Shades of the Past in Pigeon Forge, TN Top 5 and has been on the cover of three magazines.
