1970 CHEVROLET MONTE CARLO SS COUPE

This SS Monte Carlo is one of the most highly optioned, low production SS Monte Carlos of 1970. Of the thousands of 1970 Monte Carlos produced, less than 3% were ordered with the 454 option. The VIN number of this Monte Carlo shows it was a very late production number. As an example, this Monte Carlo was ordered with a power driver's bucket seat in which 0.25% were ever ordered. This car has undergone extensive restoration in late 2007/early 2008. The interior has been restored to immaculate

condition with the seats and carpet being redone. The options include AM/FM/8-track stereo, power windows, power door locks, power trunk release, tilt wheel, power seat and map light. The matching number 454 has a new cam, rockers, and springs. In early 2008, a new crank and bearings were installed, along with a high output oil pump. New exhaust was installed from the manifold to the back bumper. The undercarriage was cleaned a freshly painted. The body was stripped completely. Any nicks and minor blemishes were removed before two layers of base coat followed by three layers of DuPont Croma, and finished with three coats of clear to give the car a mirror finish. All chrome on the car is in new condition. The trunk area also received two coats of GM spackle paint. This car is an outstanding example of a very rare highly optioned 454 SS Monte Carlo.
