Description

This custom 1970 Chevrolet K5 Blazer received a frame-off nut-and-bolt restoration and customization. It is powered by a GM Connect & Cruise 6.2-liter LS3 engine utilizing a 4L70E transmission. A Holley mid-mount system was used for accessories on the LS3 engine, while a DeWitts radiator with dual electric fans provides the cooling. The original NP205 transfer case was rebuilt and reused, and power to the rebuilt axles runs through Tom Wood's driveshafts. Getting that power to the road are 31-inch Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac tires wrapped around original steel wheels with chrome-plated and painted dog-dish hubcaps. The original front wheel hubs were replaced with WARN hubs. The K5 is equipped with a 2.5-inch stainless-steel exhaust system with Borla mufflers. A stainless-steel gas tank by Rick's Tanks provides the fuel storage. CPP provided the tilt column and is connected to a Steerco-built power steering box to provide a new-car steering feel. A power boost coupled with a Wilwood master cylinder provides stopping power to the 4-wheel power disc brakes. New leaf springs from Michigan Spring provide the K5 with its stock stance, all with new bolts and bushings. The body was completely stripped, and the body was painted in Hugger Orange and white. The interior was shot with LizardSkin ceramic and thermal coating, and an additional sound mat was installed before the carpet. The original sill plates, as well as rear and front carpet rails, were rechromed and reused. All-new Dakota Digital gauges were installed and communicate directly with the LS3 ECU. A Vintage Air system provides heating and cooling for the passengers. Seat frames were sandblasted, painted and re-covered in a black and white Highlander design. Classic Radio provides a modern sound system with four speakers and an amplifier. **TITLED AS 1970 CHEVROLET CHE**
