Details
This Talladega in one of 750 produced from mid January through February by Ford at the Atlanta assembly plant. It is also the rarest of the three colors, Presidential Blue, with only 199 being produced. It has underwent a professional restoration from 2006-2008. They were equipped with the 428 Cobra Jet engine factory rated at 335hp and a C6 automatic transmission. They were all column shifted with a 3.25:1 rear axle and a staggered shock plate, an item reserved for 4-speed cars and they were
all equipped with an oil cooler. They were built to homologate the car for NASCAR competition in 1969. They had special fenders, the header panel and special rocker panels. The advantage persuaded Richard Petty from the Chrysler camp. This car is restored to as close to factory as possible.
