Description
Mario Rossi owned the Dodge Daytona's driven by Bobby Allison that won at Atlanta and earned 13 Top 10 finishes. The Dodge Daytona and sister car, the Plymouth Superbird, were so dominating that NASCAR outlawed the 'Wing Cars' in 1971. This Dodge was found in a barn by Pat McKinney. When discovered it was wearing 1970 Charger front sheet metal but all Daytona sheet metal (wing, nose cone, rear window plug, etc.) were with the car. No chassis numbers could be found, but gold paint was found on the body and wing, and believed to be the Mario Rossi/Bobby Allison car raced in 1969-70. Bobby Allison inspected the car and confirmed that the Daytona was reskinned as a Charger after NASCAR outlawed the winged cars in 1970 and verified this Daytona's authenticity.**SOLD ON BILL OF SALE ONLY**
