In 1969 Chevrolet dealer Don Yenko in Canonsburg, PA, was making his mark on muscle car history by special ordering cars through GM's central office and having Camaros and Chevelles delivered with factory 427 powerplants. Once delivered to his dealership, these cars received Yenko's 'SYC' package, transforming them into Super Yenko Camaros and Super Yenko Chevelles. That year Yenko ordered 99 COPO Chevelles, converting them into Super Yenko Chevelles. This 1969 Chevelle is a tribute to those 99
cars. It is a product of a frame-off build with less than 550 miles since completion. It's powered by a period-correct 427ci 8-cylinder big-block engine mated to an M22 4-speed transmission with a Hurst shifter. It's equipped with a 12-bolt posi-traction 3.73 rear axle, power disc brakes and power steering. It has no rust and retains all of its original body panels.
