As featured in the April 2013 issue of Hemmings Muscle Machines magazine, this award winning and matching numbers 1969 SS 396 with 375hp was the subject of a restoration profile authored by Mike McNessor and photographed by Jeff Koch. The 375hp L78 engine with 11:1 compression, solid lifters and an original rebuilt Holley 4150 4 barrel carburetor and aluminum intake was reunited with its original drivetrain and Muncie 4-speed. The body is all original except the NOS front fenders. No area overlooked. This car won the 2012 Hemmings Muscle Car of the Year at the November Goodguys car show at WestWorld in Scottsdale, AZ. It also qualified for the Terrific 12 the same year. Parts are either original and reconditioned or NOS and correctly date coded replacements. All gauges and mechanicals are in good working condition. The exterior is LeMans Blue with eight coats color sanded by hand. The interior is black. The car was ordered radio delete. All chalk marks are correct.
