Description

Summary

Fresh date-correct 427/425hp engine, fresh date-correct M22 Rock Crusher 4-speed manual transmission, fresh 12-bolt posi-traction differential. Three-year, over-2,050-hour rotisserie restoration. Laser-straight filler-free body.

Details

Recently completed, this professional frame-off rotisserie restoration is a high-dollar three-year build with over 2,050 hours invested. Body off, placed on a rotisserie and media-blasted inside and out; any panel that had minimal damage was professionally replaced. Epoxy primers and sealer were used and a PPG base coat of Tuxedo Black, House of Kolors High Glamour clear applied, cut and buffed to visual perfection. A date-correct 427ci engine was used for the build and retains all the original components. With a polished crank, the block retains standard bore that was honed. It features a Winters intake manifold, new GM piston rings and the camshaft was replaced with a COMP Cams with roller rockers and springs. It has a new oil pump, retains the factory double-row timing chain and has an MSD control with MSD Mag-type distributor. The transmission is a date-correct M22 Rock Crusher close-ratio 4-speed by Auto Gear with full 32-spline output shaft and upgraded Centerforce clutch and pressure plate. It features a GM 12-bolt rear with 4.56 gearing built with hardened axles, new discs; plate, springs and gear set all rebuilt. The seats and door panels are original to the car, but Dynamat Extreme was added to all interior surfaces. It has new OE-level carpet, new headliner, as well as Dakota Digital gauges and engine controls. It’s also equipped with a new Painless 25-circuit wire harness, new stock front GM front disc brakes and rear disc brakes. The E-brake was upgraded to handle the monster motor horsepower. This one-a-kind build was carefully supervised at Denny’s Bowtie Restorations. Built as a Yenko re-creation day-two car, this is not just another Camaro. Many details are not listed - this beauty deserves close inspection.
