Details
This 1969 Camaro Resto-Mod received a professional, no-expense-spared rotisserie restoration and high-end custom build. 1,000 man-hours were invested with attention to detail throughout. 700 miles since completion. Pro-Touring suspension and chassis consists of a complete TCI system with a front clip fitted with polished stainless A-arms. The 4-link rear end holds a reinforced Ford 9-inch that was narrowed to accept the massive rear tires. It has QA1 adjustable coilovers all around, and a TCI
frame connector system provides added chassis rigidity. The suspension and chassis are finished in gloss black powder-coating and polished stainless hardware. Power comes from a smooth but aggressive naturally aspirated 406ci small-block built on a Dart block with Brodix heads. The engine is mated to a Tremec TKO 500 5-speed manual transmission. The engine breathes through a MagnaFlow X-pipe stainless exhaust system. Subtle body modifications include rear exhaust tunnels, wiper deletion, second-gen Camaro side mirrors, Marquez Designs front lower valance, smooth and solid firewall and custom smoothed inner fenders. The body is laser-straight with a focus on panel gaps. The undercarriage is show-quality with every seam and opening filled, finished with a black crinkle coat and adorned with lots of stainless polished parts and hardware. This Camaro rides on custom Schott Americana wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport II tires, 20x12-inch 335/30ZR20 in the rear and 19x8-inch 235/35ZR19 in the front. The custom interior features Marquez Designs dash, door panels, headliner and rear shelf. A custom console mates up to the bottom of the dash. Everything is wrapped in red and black upholstery with detailed patterns and black grommets in the seats. Other interior highlights include box-woven carpeting and mats, Vintage Air, Billet Specialties half-wrap steering wheel, Clayton Machine Works pedals, Ringbrothers sill plates, AutoMeter Cobalt gauges, power windows, Ididit steering column with push-button start, and power windows and door locks. It has a Kenwood head unit, two Alpine marine-grade PDX amps, Hertz Mille Pro component speakers in the front doors and dash, 6x9-inch speakers in the rear shelf and a 10-inch JBL subwoofer hidden behind the waterfall. This Camaro won a Builder's Choice Top 10 Award at the 32nd Annual Goodguys Pacific Northwest Nationals in 2019, selected by Art and Craig Morrison.
