Details

This professionally built 1969 Camaro Resto-Mod is state-of-the-art all around. It’s powered by a new 6.2-liter LS3 V8 crate engine with only test miles since completion. Behind the engine is an American Powertrain Tremec 5-series 5-speed manual transmission with a ceramic clutch. The engine compartment looks professional with carbon-fiber, billet and polished pieces throughout, including a Concept One front pulley system and accessories. Engine cooling comes from a Be Cool radiator with electric cooling fans. The car is properly equipped to handle the horsepower. The subframe has been replaced, powder-coated and cross-braced to handle flexing under high torque loads. In back, it has an adjustable Detroit Speed QUADRALink rear suspension kit with billet stabilizers, and 3.73 gears in a GM 12-bolt axle housing with billet Torino housing ends. It is fitted with Detroit Speed rear deep tubs. The upper and lower tubular swing arm front suspension has adjustable coilover shocks. It stops using Bear Claw 4-wheel power disc drakes with polished reservoir. Inside are bolstered Recaro buckets with RJS harnesses and custom carbon-fiber console and dash, which houses new gauges, custom steering wheel with tilt column, and a custom stereo system with Kenwood head, Audison and JL Audio speakers, and an Audison 1000-watt amplifier for noise reduction and power reserve. The body is finished Gunmetal Gray paint and the quarter-panels have been braced for anti-crumpling. The custom integrated rear spoiler is designed to provide added downforce with minimum drag and is smoothly integrated into the decklid and quarter-panels for a distinctive look. Other unique touches include custom exhaust panels featuring rectangular pipe mounts, as well as tucked, color-matched bumpers. It also features Vintage Air, power door locks and power windows with factory tinted glass. The car sits on Forgeline racing wheels wrapped in Nitto Invo tires. This Camaro includes binder of spec sheets of the parts used in the build. From The David Maxwell Collection.
