This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro custom convertible is a complete one-off build that is owned by two-time World Series champion and Cy Young award-winner Chris Carpenter. Powered by a Scoggin Dickey 454ci LSX V8 engine based on an LS9 and paired to a 4-speed automatic transmission, this custom sits on an Art Morrison G-Max chassis with a C5 front suspension, Dynacorn body, 3-link rear, Strange adjustable coilovers on the front and rear, custom firewall, floor and trunk pan. Additional custom features
include hood, decklid, dash, DSE lamp door kit RS hideaway lamps, headers, exhaust and remote trans cooler with fan. This custom has a Mark Williams chromoly driveshaft, Ford 9-inch rear, Truetrac 3.50 gear set, Strange 31-spline axles, Fuel Lab fuel system, in-tank fuel pump and pre-filler, custom fuel cell and a custom roll bar with Corvette door actuators and a flush-mount tinted windshield. Stopping power is provided by Brembo 14-inch carbon-ceramic brake rotors, Brembo 6-piston calipers, a Wilwood master cylinder and custom hand-bent stainless brake lines. The Camaro features a Ron Francis wiring harness and a fully custom leather interior that features a Sparco steering wheel, Ididit steering column and AutoMeter gauges. Additional interior amenities include a Kenwood CD MP3 player with iPod connectivity along with a Memphis 10-inch subwoofer and CDT audio speakers and round out the interior. This Camaro rides on custom wheels wearing Michelin Sport Cup tires measuring 265mm 30x19 inches up front and 335mm 25x20 inches in the rear.
