Details
This is one of 518 1968 Shelby GT500 KR convertibles built. The car was produced on July 15, 1968. The engine date code is 8F11, meaning it was cast on June 11, 1968. This Shelby was ordered with a 4-speed transmission, 3.50 Traction-Lok rear axle ratio, white power convertible top with glass backlite, power steering, power front disc brakes, tilt away steering column and the 428 CJ engine. It was delivered to E.A. Swendson Ford in Milwaukee, WI. Sometime in the early 80s, it went to Seattle
under ownership of Randy Dumphy. It was a very original car and he changed the AM radio to an AM\FM radio and repainted the car to red. The current owner purchased the Shelby in 2009 and chose to bring it back to its original Wimbledon White. The GT500 KR performs like the Shelby that made history in 1968. 54,392 actual miles. Documented with a Marti Report and listed in the Shelby Registry.
