This is a red 1968 280 SL and an original Arizona, rust-free car. There have been only three owners. The car has the original factory medium red metallic paint '571H' color code with a factory parchment leather interior and a new black softtop. The transmission is automatic and the car has a new wood dash, ice cold air conditioning and power steering that make this an easy to drive car. The car is also equipped with power disc brakes, mechanical Fuel Injection, independent suspension and both
hard and softtops. The tops of this car give you the best of all worlds, you can drive with it open or closed and weather tight, the windows roll up and the heater is great. It also has power amenities and great classic styling. This automobile is a real pleasure to own and drive. The car has just received a total cosmetic restoration where the gauges were completely redone, and this includes the clock and the rebuilt factory radio. The motor, transmission, brakes, water pump, steering column and electronic ignition were completely rebuilt at 62,500 miles. This car runs great and shifts smooth as expected on a nice original car. This magnificent color combination has been rarely seen. The car's hardtop and chrome are in very nice condition not to mention the new white wall tires. The engine compartment is very clean and will make anybody feel good about showing off what is under the hood.
